Niho Ora ki Hauraki Overview

In collaboration with Te Whatu Ora, Dental Planet, and the Ministry of Social Development (MSD), we are happy to announce our free mobile dental initiative, Niho Ora ki Hauraki!

The significant demand among our Hauraki communities for a free mobile dental service that can be delivered closer to home led to the launch of the Niho Ora ki Hauraki initiative. Niho Ora Ki Hauraki will be travelling across Hauraki throughout 2024 to areas with the highest unmet need, including; Thames, Manaia, Paeroa, Waihī, and Kaiaua. Dental treatment includes x-rays, general check-ups, hygiene cleaning, fillings, and extractions.

To be eligible for this initiative, you need to be:

  • Committed to attending both the initial dental screening and treatment appointments
  • Aged 19 years and over
  • Eligible for a Community Services Card
  • Living in Hauraki.

If you meet the eligibility criteria or require additional assistance from our team, please fill out the expression of interest form below, and someone in our team will give you a call.

Please note that completing the expression of interest form does not guarantee an appointment. Our team will do our best to reach as many whānau as possible.
