Kuia/Kaumātua Event
Facilitated by Te Korowai Hauora o Hauraki, Te Tara o Te Whai team was invited to attend a Kuia/Kaumātua rōpu hui this September.
Also in attendance were the Eastern Coromandel Community Services Trust and staff from the Whangamatā Medical Centre.
Just over 50 people from within the Whangamatā community gathered at the Whangamatā War Memorial Hall to discuss community health priorities. Health providers were able to gain insight into the services that are currently available in Whangamatā.
