Paeroa Hauora Day 2023

Te Korowai Hauora o Hauraki hosted an amazing ‘Whānau Day Out’.

The event aimed to provide a fun and interactive day to connect and promote local health and community services within the Hauraki rohe to our local whānau.

Key insights recorded throughout the day about unmet needs are:


Rangatahi

  • Support for rangatahi.
  • Rangatahi services.


Access

  • Availability and access to GP services.
  • Access to dental services.


Cost

  • Cost of services.
  • Cost to live and raise Tamariki.
  • Lack of financial help.


Rural Workforce

  • Promotion of health and wellbeing services.
  • The need for more doctors.



Housing

  • Ensuring whānau are warm, housed, and healthy.
